Hama IR remote trigger makes remote shooting easy as pie

Written by Matt Kimberley. Posted in News

Ever fancied being able to fire your shutter from a distance, either so you could get your camera closer to the action or because it's mounted on a tripod? Hama has just announced a new Infrared Remote Trigger that lets you take photos from up to five metres away (which is further than it sounds). It's perfect for landscape and macro photographers who don't want to touch the camera to press the shutter button, and it's even more ideal for wildlife photographers who want to set their camera up to catch some pictures of wildlife without having to stand with the camera and do their best to look like part of the scenery.

Ever fancied being able to fire your shutter from a distance, either so you could get your camera that much closer to the action or if it's mounted on a tripod, maybe at an awkward angle, too? Hama has just announced a new Infrared Remote Trigger that lets you take photos from up to five metres away (which is further than it sounds). Press Release

Hama announce the IR Remote Trigger

Hama are pleased to announce the addition of the IR Remote Trigger to their already popular DCCS Remote Release System.

Ideal for sports, wildlife and target photography, the unique photoelectric detector is activated by motion and subsequently triggers your DSLR at precisely the right moment. Capture the winning second in the 100 metres or birds catching the first worms in the early morning light; in fact any situation where the camera auto focus or human reflex is too slow for releasing the shutter in time. Simply position the receiver and transmitter opposite each other, up to 5 metres away, to create the photoelectric signal.

The photoelectric sensor is battery powered freeing you from the restrictions of locating a mains power supply and can be connected to the camera via a separate extension cable broadening the range of use.

The device is suitable for any camera with a connection for an electric remote release and can be used separately as an infrared remote control for all cameras with a remote input.

The following parameters can be adjusted:
- Continuous shooting (possible with program, semi-automatic system or manual settings)
- Long-term exposures (bulb)
- Timer (4 seconds)

Interchangeable camera connections, remote triggers and extension cables are available separately within the DCCS System range.
